The house at 994 Charoenkrung Rd. was a home and a workshop before it was a restaurant: the family moved from Song Wat to Talad Noi in 1968 and built snooker tables by hand under the Partanakarn Billiards sign. The third generation came back as chefs and kept the same craft — only the product on the table changed.
Maison Praline began on a single shophouse street in Talat Noi — Bangkok's oldest trading district, where Chinese and European merchants once stepped off the Chao Phraya River to trade the very first goods that passed through this city. We work in that same spirit today: seeking out Thailand's finest regional makers and growers, and bringing what we find back to one address.
